PLEASE NOTE:

  • Scouts MUST be a minimum 13 years old and Tenderfoot Rank at the time of registration.
  • We are limited on the number of Scouts that we can accommodate for the Merit Badge at this event, we have just over four (4) hours to review work with as many Scouts as possible.
  • A Scout should expect to spend 30 to 45 minutes with the Merit Badge Counselor.
  • Scouts are expected to meet with Engineers and Professionals in the gym and update their workbook, before coming to sit with the Merit Badge Counselor.
  • It is strongly recommended that Scouts register early.  Walk-ins will not be accepted.

Once again, the Engineering EXPO welcomes the Boy Scouts of America who are offering a unique opportunity for Scouts in our area Troops, Districts and Councils to earn the Engineering Merit Badge. Here's how:

COME TO THE ENGINEERING EXPO AT WHITE PLAINS HIGH SCHOOL
550 North Street, White Plains, NY 10605. (in Westchester County) on Sunday, April 14, 2024.

The event runs from 11:00 am to 3:30 pm.

While you are there, check out EXPO’s interactive displays and exhibits, meet the Young Engineers and take part in their panel discussions, visit the EXPO Test Lab and visit with the many top colleges and engineering schools that will be present.

The Lower Hudson Valley Engineering EXPO is proud to welcome the Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson.  Girl Scouts has as its mission to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.  GSHH serves girls in a seven-county region (Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster, and Westchester Counties).

BE PREPARED – Come prepared to complete the merit badge. This opportunity requires that you prepare most of your work before coming to the EXPO. We have offered this merit badge in the past and some scouts came un-prepared and only earned a “partial”.  There will be Engineers and Professionals at the EXPO who can help you answer several requirements that ask you to discuss and talk with Engineers about their work
